Hi! It’s Racheal, your friendly, quirky, and positivity loving blogger.  I’ll share a little more about me, but will make it short enough to skim as you peruse your morning social media feed(s).

I avoid conflict at all costs, maybe not always healthy, but hey, I’m an enneagram 9.  Wait, you haven’t jumped on the enneagram bandwagon yet? That’s for another time, but trust me, it’s enlightening, and there is SO MUCH info out there to help you learn to make the most of your type (but, if you want to know your type, now, have a look here; this is the test I first used).  Anyhoo, I’m an introvert that can handle extroverted moments, if I can escape to quiet afterwards.  I’m that proverbial morning person, except I drink black tea, not coffee.  I don’t kill insects or spiders, even in the house, unless necessary (excluding fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes because they are blood sucking jerks).  I don’t like hugs, but if you need one, I’ll step up to the plate.  My perfectionist-ish wired brain wants me to be a perfectionist, but I’m NOT, I just have control tendencies that I am learning to either fight off, or make work.

I love autumn, snow, cold weather, hot drinks (but not pumpkin spice, that’s so 00’s), and warm, sunny people.  If it’s snowing, I’ll find an excuse to be out in the woods, or just wandering around enjoying the quietness that snow brings.

But …….. what I want you to know, really, is MY LIFE ISN’T PERFECT.  It’s not, not anywhere close, and I am the furthest thing from perfect.  But there is beauty, hope, and light, even in the darkest night, and trust me, lovelies, I’ve seen some dark nights.  I’ve retrained my brain to choose light, to see the silver lining, even if it takes time as I sit with the hard feelings first.  I want that for you, as well, to see that life doesn’t have to be perfect to be enjoyed.  Above all, I want to share the slivers of light, and goodness, that come through the clouds of everyday living on earth.

Yes, yes, of course, there’s so much more to who I am, but I don’t want to bog you down with alllllll of the details.  I think the more you see of Positively Lit, the more you’ll get to know me, and the vision for my blog, and maybe you’ll even look forward to the sunbeams that I share.

With sunbeams and love,

Racheal Xx
